How to Scientifically Produce BB Fertilizer?
BB fertilizer, or blended fertilizer, is a granular fertilizer made by dry-mixing at least two of the three nutrients: nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. It boasts advantages such as simple production, flexible formulation, and low cost, and can be precisely tailored to the needs of different soils and crops, making it a commonly used fertilizer in modern agricultural production. Mastering scientific production methods is crucial to ensuring the quality of BB fertilizer and maximizing its effectiveness.
The core of BB fertilizer production lies in the selection and proportioning of raw materials, which directly determines fertilizer quality. Raw materials should be high-purity, chemically stable single-element fertilizers. Urea can be used for nitrogen fertilizer, diammonium phosphate is preferred for phosphorus fertilizer, and potassium chloride or potassium sulfate is commonly used for potassium fertilizer. Trace elements such as borax and zinc sulfate can be added as needed. Attention must be paid to the compatibility between raw materials; avoid mixing urea with ammonium nitrate or diammonium phosphate with superphosphate to prevent clumping or inactivation. The proportioning must follow the principles of soil testing and formula formulation, combining soil fertility and crop needs, determining the formula according to a standard of no less than 35.0% total nutrients, and ensuring that the content of a single nutrient is no less than 4.0%. In large-scale production, an automatic batching system is used to improve the accuracy and efficiency of proportioning. This system, with a PLC as the core control unit, can pre-store multiple formulas and automatically control a high-precision batching scale to accurately weigh each raw material. The batching accuracy can reach ±0.1%~0.2%, avoiding errors from manual weighing and ensuring uniform proportions from the source. It also reduces labor costs and achieves automation and standardization in the batching process.
Mixing and stirring is the core process in BB fertilizer production and a key link in the BB fertilizer production line. Pre-treated raw materials are accurately weighed according to the formula proportions, with an error controlled within 1%, and then conveyed to the mixer via an elevator. A BB fertilizer blender is preferred, and stirring is performed for 3-5 minutes to ensure uniform mixing and compliance with national standards. A small amount of anti-caking agent can be added during stirring to reduce clumping during subsequent storage and transportation.
Finished product inspection and packaging is the final checkpoint. Sampling and testing of the finished product are required, focusing on indicators such as total nutrients, moisture, and particle size. Unqualified products must be readjusted and remixed. Qualified finished products are packaged in moisture-proof, laminated woven bags, each weighing 40-50 kg. The packaging must clearly indicate the product name, formulation, and total nutrient content for easy use and traceability. Storage requires protection from moisture and sunlight to prevent clumping or nutrient loss due to prolonged storage.
Scientific production of BB fertilizer requires adherence to national standards and strict control at every stage, while also adjusting the formula to meet specific needs. Proper raw material selection, precise proportioning, uniform mixing, and rigorous testing are essential for producing high-quality BB fertilizer, reducing agricultural production costs, improving fertilizer utilization, and ultimately enhancing agricultural quality and efficiency.
